Uma nova Sterculia l. (Sterculiaceae) para a Amazônia

Discovered in the Reserva A. Ducke, Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, Sterculia duckei Taylor ex J. A. C. Silva et Μ. F. Silva, nov. sp., shows an affinity with S. pruriens differing from it by presenting stellate hairs and glands, scattered on its flowers from the apex down to the base of the calyx, lacking glandular hairs, and is recorded in the states of Amazonas and Para. This species is described and illustrated.
