Qualitative Study on the Determinants for Bed Scale of General Hospital Based on Delphi Method

In order to explore the determinants for bed scale of general hospitals,the main factors and their impact weights for hospitals'bed scale were consulted by Delphi method.The research showed that the factors according to their order of impacts are: hospital internal factors,regional economic level,per capita stock of health resources,social status and the competilive environment. The conclusions come out that the scale expansion of hospital beds is mainly driven within the hospitals by themselves and major impacted by hospital leaders'decision-making.Some hospitals did not fully consider the actual situation of their operating income and the stock levels of local medical resources in their expansion.
