SYNTHESIS OF 3-[(4-ACETYLOXY-5-BROMO-3-METHOXY)PHENYL]-2-PROPENOIC ACID

Objective:To synthesize 3-[(4-acetyloxy-5-bromo-3-methoxy)phenyl]-2-propenoic acid.Methods: The end compound was first prepared by the bromization,Knoevenagel reaction and acetylation from vanillin.Results and Conclusion:The end compound was confirmed by elementary analysis and IR spectra.
