Growth And Uptake by Different Legumes As Affected by Phosphorus

2015
During Kharif season of 2002-03 a field experiment was conducted at Department of Agronomy, Dr. PanjabraoDeshmukhKrishiVidyapeeth, Akola (MS) in clayey soil. The experiment was laid out in randomised block design in kharif season with six treatments of legumes grown in different levels of phosphorous with four replications. All the growth characters viz. plant height and leaves plant -1 weresignificantly superior in treatment SP2, whereas leaf area plant -1 , dry matter plant -1 and branches plant -1 were significantly more in treatment SOP2. In case of nutrient concentration (%) and uptake by straw (kgha -1 ) of N, P 2 O 5 and K 2 O were showed significantly higher values in treatment SP2.
