Hook of the hamate nonunion: suspicion of stress-induced mechanism in a hockey player

We present a hook of the hamate fracture. Progression to nonunion was observed despite immobilization, and fragment excision was the final solution. Injury mechanisms, image diagnoses, and various treatments are discussed.
