This study aimed to describe the background, lifestyle and their impact on street children development This study used qualitative methods -with case study approach. Interviewees consist of three street children who assist in Yayasan Setara Data collection techniques used interview and observation techniques as well as supporting documentation to reinforce the truth of the data taken. The results showed that the lifestyle of street children in general tend to be pathological. Street children have a pathological lifestyle because they develop the wrong attitude and experience internalization from the social environment. Street children tend to display masculine values by adopting the forms of maturity due to emotional and social immaturity as a symbolic sign of resistance from the expectations set by society because they want to show a status symbol to offset dissatisfaction derived from everyday life This lifestyle war associated with the will of the child as a compensation for freedom from frustration or failure to meet their basic needs. Physical impacts caused, among others: make the body attacked by various diseases such as skin dseases infectious diseases, mouth diseases, gastrointestinal diseases and respiratory diseases, while the impact social-psychological consist of having diffusion status hampered the development of skills in dealing with problems competently and making responsible decisions and less reqxmsible for themselves and their social environment.
