The invention discloses a photoelectric composite optical fiber and a manufacturing method therefor. The optical fiber comprises a cable core and a sheath which is arranged on the periphery of the cable core, wherein the cross section of the optical fiber is circular; the cable core comprises an optical fiber bundle, a tightening layer which is arranged on the periphery of the optical fiber bundle in an extrusion manner, multiple electronic wires, and a shielding line, wherein the shielding line and the multiple electronic wires are concentrically twisted on the periphery of the optical fiber bundle in a one-way manner; the optical fiber bundle comprises one or more colored optical fibers in a twisted manner; the electronic wires comprise copper conductors and insulating layers which are uniformly arranged on the peripheries of the corresponding copper conductors in an extrusion manner; the shielding line comprises a twisted cable formed by sub lines in a pair-twisting manner, a copper conductor and a shielding layer; and a reinforcing element is arranged on the periphery of the tightening layer, the electronic wires and the shielding line. The photoelectric composite optical fiber provided by the invention, used as the HDMI data transmission line, has the advantages of signal anti-interference, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, flame retardancy, green and environmental protection, and the like; meanwhile, the diameter of the photoelectric composite optical fiber is only 4.5mm; and the photoelectric composite optical fiber has the advantages of flexibility, easy bending and placement, and relatively light weight, and can be used in wiring and other applications in multiple kinds of scenes.
