Doping process in “soluble” polyacetylene

Abstract A systematic study of the polyacetylene-dopant interaction has been carried out on soluble graft-polyacetylenes by spectroscopic techniques. I 2 has been used as dopant agent. The results here presented and discussed, allow a qualitative interpretation of the doping process responsible for the conductivity of doped polyacetylene.
