Criterios para la gestión responsable del financiamiento nanotecnológico en Argentina

2019
In Argentina, starting in 2003, a strong state drive to develop nanotechnology as a mobilizer of the productive fabric begins to be noticed. This impulse was mainly channeled through different financing to nanotechnological projects, which were intended to stimulate the country's economic growth. This allowed the creation of a nanotechnology industry that entails risks that are co-constituted by different actors (science, politics, industry and civil society). Therefore, it is essential to incorporate the analysis of the responsibilities of each of the actors in the process, in particular, that of the public sector The objective of the article is to analyze from a framework of responsibility (anticipatory, reflective, deliberative and receptive) the allocation of funds made by the Argentine public sector during the last years. Based on the analysis of the elaboration and the results of surveys implemented on the nanotech project managers, responsible criteria are also proposed for financing nanotechnology in Argentina. In this way, the article provides a first analysis of the responsibility of the public sector in the development of nanotechnology in Argentina.
