An improved algorithm of ODMRP for controlling packet flooding
2011
ODMRP multicast routing protocol is an adaptable communication protocol for Ad Hoc network with fast mobility, restricted bandwidth and limited nodes energy. In order to improve the drastic increase of routing request packets for the number of node increases, an improved method is proposed. The methods combining backup route and variable core algorithm enhance the reliability of protocol while the number of routing request packets is reduced. The improved algorithm is implemented on the OPNET simulation platform. Results show that the number of control packets in the improved algorithm is reduced by 55% while packet delivery ratio is increased.
