Atraumatic extractions – Role of physics forceps
2012
The last decade has seen an unprecedented surge in implant insertion as an alternative and/or definitive treatment modality for a single missing tooth, partially edentulous and completely edentulous jaws. Ever since augmented interests in atraumatic tooth extractions occurred in order to preserve bone for implant placement. Recently physics forceps was developed to perform atraumatic extractions, which principally use the biomechanical benefits of a first-class lever, creep, and stress distribution.
