Kinetics of reactions of OBrO with NO, O3, OClO, and ClO at 240-350 K

Kinetics for the reactions of OBrO with NO, O 3 , OCIO, and ClO at 240-350 K were investigated using the technique of discharge flow coupled with mass spectrometry. The Arrhenius expression for the OBrO reaction with NO was determined to be k 1 = (2.37 ′ 0.96) × 10 - 1 3 exp[(607 ′ 63)/T‖ cm 3 molecule - 1 s - 1 . The reactions of OBrO with O 3 , OClO, and ClO are slow chemical processes at 240-350 K. Upper limit rate constants for the OBrO reactions with O 3 , OClO, and ClO at 240-350 K were estimated to be k 2 < 5.0 × 10 - 1 5 cm 3 molecule - 1 s - 1 , k 3 < 6.0 x 10 - 1 4 cm 3 molecule - 1 s - 1 , and k 4 < 1.5 × 10 - 1 3 cm 3 molecule - 1 s - 1 , respectively.
