Clinical Analysis of 60 cases Silent Stroke in old People

Objective: To discuss the high risky factors, causes of disease, clinical characteristics and pathogenesis regular rules for silent stroke of the old people. Method: Retrospectively analyzed clinical materials of 60 patients between 60 to 89 years old. Classified the patients into infarction and hemorrhage types and successively analyzed the risky factors, clinical characteristics and pathogenesis regular rules. Result: Among the 60 patients, 56 patients are cerebral infarction and 4 patients are cerebral hemorrhage. High blood pressure, hyperglycemia, high blood viscosity, venerable age and high blood lipid are the most causes for cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage. Still there are other causes, including smoking, excessive drinking and auricular fibrillation etc. Conclusion: High blood pressure and hyperglycemia are the main causes for the silent stroke of old people. Actively and effectively intervening the risky factors for silent stoke of the old people, such as high blood pressure, hyperglycemia, high blood lipid, smoking, excessive drinking, auricular fibrillation etc., could prevent the silent stroke at the maximum extent and improve the life quality and health level.
