Elevator shaft component detection device and method

The invention relates to an elevator shaft component detection device and method. The elevator shaft component detection device comprises a camera, a position control mechanism, a drive mechanism and a controller, wherein the controller is mounted on a car roof of an elevator and is electrically connected with the camera, the position control mechanism and the drive mechanism respectively; the camera is mounted on the position control mechanism which is connected with the drive mechanism; the drive mechanism drives the position control mechanism according to a position command sent by the controller and drives the camera to move to an assigned position; the camera acquires image data of the elevator in a running state and in an opening or closing process and transmits the image data to the controller; the controller compares the image data with reference data and acquires the running state information of an elevator shaft component. The elevator shaft component detection device and method improve the elevator shaft component detection efficiency effectively.
