Statement by Ahmad Mohamed Ali at the 92nd meeting of the Development Committee held on October 10, 2015

This is a statement by Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President, Islamic Development Bank Group at the ninety-second meeting of the Development Committee held on October 10, 2015. He discusses on: Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group ten-year strategy; resource mobilization; building strategic partnership; promoting capacity building; and fostering Islamic finance. He points that the post-2015 development agenda will guide efforts in tackling the biggest collective challenges - reducing poverty, enhancing social inclusion, and protecting natural resources and environment. To be able to address these global challenges, there is a strong need to put in places the right conditions and incentives to make the global goals and targets actionable and to motivate all stakeholders to work in partnership and to promote accountability.
