ESTIMATION OF LONGITUDINAL MOTION OF A REMOTELY CONTROLLED AIRSHIP

This paper examines the identification approach applied to a remotely controlled airship. The general properties of airship dynamics, as well as its linearly approximated flight mechanical model will be presented. Identification algorithms that have been found to be appropriate for solving this problem will be discussed. In addition, a discussion of experiment design for estimating airship dynamics will be presented. Finally, the estimation results based on flight data and some validation results will be presented and discussed.
