Nonparametric Algorithms for Recovering Signal and Noise Characteristics

An algorithm is proposed for recovering the transfer characteristic of a noise source on the basis of singular expansion of the signal correlation matrix. The noise immunity is –5 to –12 dB as a function of frequency over the range 1–500 Hz. The method is compared with ideal matched filtration and energy-matched processing.
