Comparison and analysis of continuously jetting and discretely jetting method used in rapid ice prototype forming

2002
Abstract Continuously jetting method and discretely jetting method were tested in study and development of the process, ‘Rapid ice prototype forming’ (RIPF). The two jetting methods show substantial differences in jetting pressure threshold, flow rate, response sensitivity, forming precision, etc., in our experiments. This paper compared the differences based on the experiments’ result and analysed the reasons. This paper also addressed the characteristics of the two jetting methods and pointed out the suitable application fields of the two jetting methods, respectively.
