DYC Control for Turning Vehicle Over Critical Range (1st Report, Application to Front Engine Rear Wheel Derive Vehicle)
2004
Using the technical data of rear engine rear wheel drive vehicle, the effects of DYC applied to turning vehicle over critical range are studied. Control signal is calculated by the automatic search algorism using 4 tires vehicle model. The results show that DYC is effective at both critical range and over critical range of turning vehicle. Because of heavy rear wheel load of rear engine vehicle, there is no limitation in DYC control to protect the running idle of inner driving wheel over critical range. Therefore DYC control is seamless and the effects of DYC are also seamless between critical range and over critical range.
