The system comprises an automobile self-service charging machine, and an ultrasonic generation device, an ultrasonic receiving device, a control unit and a servo motor arranged on a self-service charging machine body, wherein the control unit emits an ultrasonic impulse wave according to the ultrasonic generation device and the ultrasonic receiving device receives time information of the reflected ultrasonic impulse wave to obtain the real-time position of the automobile, and controls the movement of the servo motor according to the information, thereby controlling the movement of the automobile self-service charging machine. The frequency of the ultrasonic impulse wave sent by the ultrasonic generation device is 40kHz, and the ultrasonic generation device is also provided with an automobile detection coil. The automatic automobile searching and positioning system is accurate in positioning, quick in reaction speed, and wide in detection range, has no influence on the automobile, and is small in occupied volume and convenient to use.
