Establishment of Obesity Rat Animal Model with Leptin Resistance and Insulin Resistance

Objective:To establish the obesity rat animal model with leptin resistance and insulin resistance through high fat diet.Methods:Rats were fed with improved high fat diet for 8 weeks.To observe the indexes:weight,Lees index,fasting blood glucose,insulin,HOMA-IR,leptin,oral glucose tolerance test,insulin release test and compared with control group rats.Results:Besides FBG,the indexes of model group rats were significantly higher than control group rats(P0.05).Conclusions:High saturated fatty acid diet can induce obesity rat with leptin resistance and insulin resistance.
