Glancing Back, Striding Ahead The History of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine: Part 1

This article provides a succinct but comprehensive review of the history of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Three time periods are described: the pre-academy era, the early years of podiatric sports medicine leading up to the academy’s founding, and the academy’s founding and the 1970s.
