Study on Diffusion Process Simulation of Ammonia Storage Tank Leakage Accident Based on GIS

2012
Some mathematical models of spread of contaminant leakage were developed based on Gaussian diffusion. Introducing the GIS, dynamic leakage simulation software based on the GIS was developed. With the digital map base map and in accordance with the actual leak location of pollution incidents, leakage of liquid ammonia storage tank was simulated and displayed. Numerical models and GIS were combined, and the process of diffusion of pollutants' leaking was dynamically analyzed in time and space, and different pollutants' area at different spatial diffusion was calculated, and pollution levels in different locations were analyzed. Thus, it is available to forecast how heavy a pollution hazard affects the environment and nearby people especially an accidental pollution hazard, including the hazardous extent and level. Such a forecasting method lays a scientific base for emergency monitoring, field rescue and evaluation after an accident disaster.
