Efficient Pt/Silicalite-1 catalyst for isomerization of n-heptane

Abstract The isomerization of n -heptane was studied over highly dispersed Pt/Silicalite-1 catalysts, and significantly higher n -heptane conversion and isomerization selectivity were achieved when compared with Pt/SiO 2 catalysts. The outstanding performance of Pt/Silicalite-1 catalysts was attributed to the high dispersion of Pt on Silicalite-1, the strong interaction between Pt nanoparticles and Silicalite-1, and the stronger n -heptane adsorption capacity on the catalysts.
