Using the method of x-ray diffraction for the study of interaction of plasticizers with crystalline regions of cellulose nitrate*

X-ray diffraction was used to study the effect of plasticizers upon the crystalline regions of cellulose nitrate. According to the type of plasticizer structural transformations were observed such as precrystallization of crystallites, formation of interstitial solid solutions and molecular complexes.
