Problems of Economic Development of Congo
1964
The Congo1 is a vast Central African territory situated astride the equator. It is 2–3 million square kilometres in area—that is, a third of the size of the United States. It has only 13 million inhabitants—that is, 8 per cent of the United States’ population. The average density of population is thus only 5 inhabitants per square kilometre.
