The invention relates to a resolution method of a chiral drug, specifically to a resolution method of a (S)-2-arylpropionic acid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. According to the method, a main resolving agent used is a resolving agent cluster composed of a plurality of optical homochiral resolving agents, and an auxiliary resolving agent is organic base or inorganic base. The method comprises the following steps of: mixing (RS)-2-arylpropionic acid or its salt and the main resolving agent in proportion, adding the auxiliary resolving agent to dissolve in a solvent, and separating to obtain one optically pure 2-arylpropionic acid double salt; carrying out high-temperature racemization on a mother liquor, and repeating the above resolution process; refining the double salt, decomposing it by an alkali analytic method, and separating a target compound from the resolving agents by an organic solvent extraction or pH-adjusting separation method so as to obtain the high-yield high-quality optically pure (S)-2-arylpropionic acid or its salt. The resolving agents used in the invention have advantages of low price and little consumption. The solvent is nontoxic and the resolution efficiency is high. Therefore, the resolution method is suitable for industrial production.
