Tissue Culture and Rapid Propagation of Dracaena fragrans Ker-Gawl. and Cordyline fruticosa "compacta

When stem segment with axillary bud of Dracaena fragrans Ker Gawl. was cultured on the medium of MS+BA 5 mg/L+IAA 0.2 mg/L,callus formed and then adventitious bud differentiated from the callus.Also,the terminal bud of Cordyline fruticosa "compacta" was amplified in large number on the medium of MS+BA 2 mg/L.The induced bud of both plants could be induced to differentiate adventitious root on midium of MS+IAA 0.2~0.4 mg/L.The strong whole plantlets grew healthily after transplantation into the flower pot and 90%~100% survival rate could be got.
