Synthesis of some novel 3-[ω–(substituted phenoxy/anilino/thiophenoxy/2-pyridylamino) alkoxy] flavones

Several α-(3-flavonyloxy)-ω-bromoalkanes ( 1 ) on treatment with substituted phenols, anilines, thiophenols and 2-aminopyridine resulted novel potentially bioactive 3-ω-substituted phenoxy ( 3a-t ), anilino ( 4a-h ), thiophenoxy ( 5a-d ) and 2-pyridylamino ( 7a-c ) alkoxy flavones. The structures of the products have been elucidated by analytical and spectral data.
