Evaluation of the Development of China's Three Mega-City Regions

The mega-city region,as the mainstream and trend of city development around the world,is the main model of China's new urbanization.The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region,Yangtze River Delta Region and Pearl River Delta Region are the three largest and maturest mega-city regions in China,whose development represents the general level and development trends of China's mega-city regions.Based on the entire-array-polygon method,this article assesses these three mega-city regions' development with the urban population index,urban economic index,urban life index,urban cultural index and urban primacy index.
