Transport of labelled indoleacetic acid in normal or «lazy» stems of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum)
1977
Summary Distribution of labelled auxin in normal and lazy stems of Lycopersicon esculentum was studied. The amount of labelled auxin was higher farther away from the site of hormone application in normal stems, while in the lazy ones it was near the site of hormone application. In grafted plants the labelled auxin distribution is quite different when the site of hormone application belongs either to a normal or a lazy stem. When the treatment was carried out on the lazy stem it resulted in a slow basipetal transport and even in a remarkable acropetal transport of labelled auxin.
