Tauwasserverhütung bei Isolierungen an Behältern, Rohrleitungen und Armaturen

1995
In industrial plant components and insulation systems, damage by dew can only be prevented when either one of the dew conditions (low temperature and contact with the outside air) is avoided or the dew is rendered harmless. Dew formation is especially critical in cold insulation, because the dew appearing can turn to the formation of ice. This danger is to be excluded if the material temperature is sufficiently high. Penetration of the dew into the insulating material must be prevented because it cannot be drawn off from there because of the capillary effect.
