Effect of pig-on-litter system padding on yield and quality of new planting sugarcane.

2013
【Objective】The purpose of the present study was to explore the effect of chemical fertilizer replaced by pig-on-litter system padding on growth, yield and quality of sugarcane and provide scientific evidences for recourses reuse of wasted pig-on-little system padding.【Method】Four treatments,0(CK),25%,50% and 100% of pig-on-litter system padding in total fertilizer application, were set in field experiments using ROC22 as testing materials to determine soil organic matter, growth traits, yield and economic benefits of every treatment.【Result】The results showed that the increases in padding application resulted in proportionately increase in soil organic matter(SOM),emergence rate and effective stalks of sugarcane. The content of +1 leaf total N,P,K was similar among the treatments of 25%,50% pig-on-litter system padding and the control. When padding application to total fertilization rate was 25% and 50%,yield and sucrose content increased by 7.48%-15.80% and 0.11%-0.68%,compared with the control.Meanwhile, economic benefits increased by 4041 Yuan/ha and RMB 8249 Yuan/ha,respectively.However,sugarcane stalk yield and theoretical sugar-production and economic benefit in only padding supply treatment were obvious lower than those of 50% padding treatment.【Conclusion】 The combined application of chemical fertilizer and pig-on-litter system padding is beneficial for growth, production and quality of sugarcane, and the appropriate proportion between padding material and chemical fertilizer is 1∶1.
