The invention relates to a method for producing a vegetable cultivation substrate and a seedling-raising substrate by using medlar branches. The method comprises the following production steps: crushing the medlar branches; scattering water on the medlar branches; adding organic fertilizer, urea and an enzyme preparation; mixing uniformly; performing stacking fermentation at the environmental temperature of between 10 and 40 DEG C; turning the stack when the central temperature of the stack is higher than 75 DEG C and finishing the fermentation until the central temperature of the stack is near the environmental temperature; and mixing the fermented medlar branches, organic fertilizer, pearlite and vermiculite according to the volume ratio of 4:(1-2):2:(2-3) completely and uniformly. The reproducible medlar resources with low price and rich sources serve as the main substrate source for vegetable soilless cultivation, so the selecting types of the substrates for vegetable soilless cultivation and industrial seedling raising are enriched. The treated medlar branches serve as the vegetable cultivation substrate and the seedling-raising substrate, so the method has the advantages of water absorptivity, air permeability, abundant nutrients and the like.
