A Low-Cost Design of Urine Detector

2018
For diabetic patients, monitoring of blood glucose levels should be done at least 4 times a day to get a blood sample or about 1800 times per year to check glucose levels and take about 2 hours in laboratory testing where blood sampling through injection processes can cause infection people with diabetes mellitus cannot produce insulin in their body. Currently, around 2.5 million people die each year from alcohol abuse. The examination of diabetes and alcohol is not only done by blood sampling but can be through a urine check. To overcome the problem then built a prototype of the urine content detector. This prototype will detect levels of glucose, alcohol, and dehydration through urine, where to detect glucose levels using the TCS230 sensor, to detect alcohol content used MQ3 sensor, and to detect dehydration used LDR sensor. Tools are tested and processed using Arduino, LabView, and VISA interfaces. The test results indicate the suitability of tool work approaching 98 %.
