Characterization of blood velocity in arteries using a combined analytical and Doppler imaging approach

Using ultrasound Doppler imaging we experimentally and analytically reconstruct the blood flow field in arteries and provide an $i\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}n\ensuremath{-}v\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}i\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}v\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}o$-validated, noninvasive, and reliable Wall Shear Stress (WSS) estimation. WSS is a major mechanical modulator of many functions of the cardiovascular system.
