MRI of endocervicosis: an unusual cause of clustered periurethral cystic masses involving the bladder.

2007
WEB This is a Web exclusive article. eriurethral cystic mass protruding into the base of the bladder in women has a limited differential diagnosis and most often is due to a urethral diverticulum. We recently encountered a 51-year-old woman with lower urinary tract symptoms, dyspareunia, and extensive mural cystic masses involving the bladder neck and proximal urethra pathologically proven to be endocervicosis, a pseudoneoplastic lesion. We report the clinical and pathologic features and unique MRI characteristics of this rare disorder.
