Avaliação in vitro da resistência à abrasão de dois dentes de resina acrílica melhorada utilizados na confecção de próteses removíveis

2011
The resistance to the abrasion of used artificial teeth in dental prosthesis is a property of great importance for the vertical dimension of occlusion maintenance during its useful life in function. The aim of this work was to evaluate the resistance to the abrasion of two commercial artificial improved acrylic resin tooth marks. The samples had been gotten of first inferiors molars and had been weighed in analytical scale of precision being then submitted to the assay of consuming in a methallographic polishing in 200 RPM, with automatic irrigation, during 1 minute and 43 seconds. The resistance was evaluated through the gravimetrical method. The values founded had been submitted to comparative test T Student. Statistical significant differences had not been found to the relative consuming between the groups of resin teeth itself and when compared with the natural tooth.
