The invention relates to a durable flame retardant after finishing method of a fabric by virtue of electron beam irradiation. The after finishing method comprises the following steps: carrying out preshrunk finish on the fabric at certain humidity through a rubber blanket pre-shrinking machine, and hot pressing the fabric by a hot pressing roller of a mirror calender; compounding vinyl silicone oil, hydrogen-containing silicone oil, a flame retardant (FRC-4), a silane coupling agent, trimethylolpropane triacrylate, a leveling agent and a surfactant to obtain a flame retardant coating; coating the processed fabric with the flame retardant coating at the coating dosage of 20-30g/m ; and placing the fabric coated with the flame retardant coating on a transfer beam rack of a 200Kev low-energy electron accelerator through a transmission roller for radiation curing to obtain the flame retardant fabric. The flame retardant coating used in the method disclosed provided by the invention is free from any solvent, halogen and formaldehyde, environment-friendly, safe, nontoxic and pollution-free; the after finishing method is simple in preparation process, convenient to operate and construct, and low in equipment running energy consumption; a radiation chamber, a front isolation chamber and a rear isolation chamber are vacuumized and introduced with nitrogen for protection; the obtained flame retardant fabric is good in flame retardant effect, washing resistant, high temperature resistant, and good in thermal stability; the after finishing method can be widely applied to various fabrics with requirements on flame retardance.
