Analysis of parameters relative to weak adsorption from voltammetric data

A general equation for voltammetric response is derived in the case where adsorption may be influenced by potential and the ratio bObR ≠ 1 of adsorption coefficients of oxidized and reduced species. A set of data [H,E] is obtained from the linear relation of the current function ψ vs. v−12 at the same potential, then parameters relative to the weak adsorption are analyzed using non-linear least-squares regression. Non-linear behavior of the regression model is discussed, how to choose the parametric forms of non-linear regression model is expounded, and the model is applied to electrochemical oxidation of epinephrine.
