Experiment of Agricultural Non-point Source Pollution Mitigation by Field Drain and Pond Wetland

Non-point source pollution caused by drainage water of farmland is one of the main reasons for deterioration of water environment in irrigation district.In order to find out harnessing measurements fitting for agricultural farmlands of South China,the joint system of drainage ditches and pond wetlands is proposed to purify farmland drainage water quality.And then the systemic experiments are conducted in Jiangxi Central Irrigation Experiment Station.Experiment results show that the drainage ditches and natural wetlands has satisfactory effects in pollution control;the reduction rate of TN,NH4+-N,NO-3-N and TP are reduced 69.8%,88.1%,69.6% and 81.2%,respectively.According to the experimental result,it reduces non-point source pollution of farmlands and repairs water environment of farmlands in some degree.
