This thesis discusses the types and symptoms of dissociative identity disorder experienced by the main character in the film entitled Me, Myself, and Irene. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find the types of dissociative identity disorder and the symptoms of dissociative identity disorder. This thesis research uses a psychological approach by Siswantoro and Wellek, Paulette M. Gillig on dissociative identity disorder, the theory of types of dissociative identity disorder by Nevid, and the theory of symptoms of dissociative identity disorder by Thomas. This research uses qualitative research and descriptive method. The result of this research is that the main character Charlie has dissociative identity disorder in which he has another personality within him. there are two types of dissociative identity disorder that the main character has, namely: the main personality in which Charlie is the main personality, and the dominant personality in which Hank is the dominant personality in this film. Symptoms of dissociative identity disorder experienced by the main character are Depersonalization, Amnesia, and Trauma.
