Millimeter Wave Pin-fed Three Notch Circular Patch Antenna for 5G Communication

This paper presents a mmWave pin-fed three notch circular patch antenna for 5G communication. The three notch circular patch antenna is designed to resonate from 58.5 GHz to 60.5 GHz. This antenna has dimension of 5x5x0.1 mm 3 and is compatible with modern mobile station (MS). Rogers RT5880 material with dielectric constant of 2.2 and height of 0.100 mm is used. The designed antenna has radiation efficiency greater than 88 % at resonance band and provides acceptable return loss less than -10 dB. mmWave three notch circular patch antenna has maximum gain value of 7.839 dB at 60 GHz frequency and has form factor of 5x5 mm 2 .
