Thin films for planar solar cells of organic-inorganic perovskite composites
2021
Abstract With the emergence of the latest technology and advancements in the field of photovoltaics, solar cells have gathered attention for a new era of power production. Researchers have studied and demonstrated the novel generation of thin-film organic-inorganic hybrid materials that can be used to fabricate solar cells of relatively high power conversion efficiencies. Perovskite solar cells with PCE as high as 18% have been practically reported. Thin-film deposition methods and materials used for fabrication are the main factors that result in an efficient PSC. Fundamental performance, along with optical and electronic properties, also plays a significant role in demonstrating an efficient perovskite solar cell. The future scope and the development phase of these solar cells have also been outlined in later sections.
