Configuration method of optical port and device

The invention discloses a configuration method of an optical port and a device, relating to the technical field of network communication technology. The invention aims at solving the problem that an Ethernet port does not support auto negotiation of a physical layer in the prior art. The configuration method of the optical port in the embodiments of the invention comprises the following steps of:receiving an optical signal; analyzing whether the received optical signal has a physical layer configuration parameter; configuring a parameter to the self physical layer according to the received physical layer configuration parameter if the optical signal has the physical layer configuration parameter; and configuring a parameter according to the self physical layer configuration parameter if the optical signal does not have the physical layer configuration parameter. The embodiments of the invention can realize the physical layer auto negotiation of the Ethernet port.
