Qué pueden enseñarnos las ciencias de la complejidad sobre política y democracia

In this article, we revise di"erent models that use tools from the complexity sciences to explain sociopolitical phenomena. We suggest that these models should be interpreted as ‘minimal models’ (Weisberg 2007; Batterman and Rice 2014). We conclude that these highly idealized models can not only help us distinguish the relevant causal factors that give rise to certain sociopolitical phenomena, but also in some cases can help us visualize intervention policies.
