Research at Siemens Laboratories on large scale applications of superconductivity
1976
Abstract Applied superconductivity research in many different areas is being carried out at Siemens. The main research effort is directed towards those projects likely to be used on a large scale in the future — superconducting machines, superconducting cables, and magnetically levitated trains. Results to date, present studies, and plans for the future are discussed for each project.
