Magnetic Structures of Eu1−xGdxS

Neutron diffraction measurements were made on the mixed chalcogenide system Eu1−xGdxS with x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.6 and 0.8. The results indicate that the magnetic structures in this system are inhomogeneous, with short‐range ordered clusters of antiferromagnetic Gd spins.
