Mersin Balıkçı Barınağından Yakalanan Sparus aurata (Linnaeus 1758)'dan İzole Edilen Enterobacteriaceae Grubu Bakterilerin Bazı III. Kuşak Sefalosporinlere Karşı Plasmid Kökenli Dirençliliğin Saptanması
2006
Natural resistance frequency and plasmid based resistance of Enterobacteriaceae members Escherichia coli, Klebsiella sp. and Proteus sp. which isolated from Sparus aurata against the III rd generation cephalosporins Cefazol (CF), Ceftizoxime (ZOX) and Ceftriaxone (CRO) antibiotics were studied. Sparus aurata were caught from the Mersin fishermen's shelter. Dilution technique at agar containing media and plasmid elimination tests were employed for the determination of natural resistance frequency and plasmid based resistance respectively. The highest natural resistance frequency and plasmid based resistance was developed against CF, followed by ZOX and CRO antibiotics. There was no statistical difference between the resistance developed against ZOX and CRO antibiotics. The high resistance frequency observed against the antibiotics tested might be due to widespread use of these cephalosporins in Mersin district and disposal of hospital discharges to natural environments without sufficient treatment.
