Effect of H/D isotope exchange and temperature on the solubility of neon in methanol
2002
The solubility of neon in CH 3 OH, CD 3 OH, and CH 3 OD was measured at a pressure of 101325 Pa over a temperature range from 278.15 to 318.15 K at 10 K intervals to an accuracy of ≤0.3%. The differences in the solubility ofneon in the H/D-substituted methanols (H/D-isomers) were attributed to geometrical configuration changes in the solvent structure produced by the substitution of deuterons for protons in the solvent molecules.
